How the conversion works
Multiply square feet by 0.09290304. The widget opens at 500 ft², about 46.45 m². Multiplying by the length factor 0.3048 only once is the classic mistake — area needs it squared.
Area is not length
A 10 ft × 10 ft room is 100 ft². Convert the area figure itself rather than each side separately unless you recompute length × width afterwards.
